Sani Musa Danja

Sani Musa Danja Born into a family of seven, five boys and two girls, Sani Danja is a household name when it comes to Kannywood and music in Northern Nigeria.
Sani Danja was involved in the directing and production of the award winning United State Agency for International Development (USAID) funded film on HIV/AIDS prevention and control titled Jan Kunne (The Awakening) supported by Family Health International; a Film that was seen by over 60 Million people in and outside of Nigeria. It received wide publicity including a review by the WALL STREET JOURNAL & FINANCIAL TIMES. Danja was also responsible for the production of TUSHEN ARZIKI, a Film on a Wire House Receipt Financing, Sponsored by Abuja Securities and Commodity Exchange Commission.
Sani Danja is currently the UN Peace Ambassador, Rotary International Ambassador, Save the Children Ambassador, Rhythm N’ Play Ambassador, Globacom Ambassador and National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) Ambassador
Sani has been in the entertainment industry for over 20 years and has a starred in over 100 movies, musicals and adverts. The ‘Danja’ in his name has been with him since childhood because he’s said to be stubborn and persistent. On 5th August 2017, Sani Danja popularly called Zaki in Hausa films, was turbaned by the Etsu Nupe, Yahaya Abubakar, as the Zakin Arewa, meaning the Lion of the Arewa Youth, in Bida, Niger State.
